Meet Our Team
Ella Jordan
Equine Coach
Instructor
Hi, I'm Ella, co-founder of Feeling Herd
Horses have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I am passionate about helping both people and horses feel understood, supported, and valued. Through my work at Feeling Herd, I love creating opportunities for children, young people, and adults to build confidence, develop new skills, and experience the many benefits that come from spending time with horses.
Over the years, I have worked in a variety of equestrian settings as a riding instructor, coach, and equine professional. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of horse behaviour, welfare, and the special connection that can develop between horses and humans. I have seen first-hand how horses can help people grow in confidence, improve communication, overcome challenges, and discover strengths they didn't know they had.
I am qualified to UKCC Level 2 and have additional training in equine bodywork, which gives me a holistic understanding of both the physical and emotional wellbeing of horses. The welfare of our herd is incredibly important to me, and I believe that when horses feel safe, comfortable, and understood, they are able to help people learn and grow in remarkable ways.
I particularly enjoy working with children and young people. Whether a child is nervous around horses, lacking confidence, neurodivergent, or simply looking for a place where they can have fun and be themselves, I aim to create a calm, welcoming, and non-judgemental environment where they feel supported from the moment they arrive.
For parents and carers, I understand how important it is to know that your child is in safe and caring hands. I take time to build positive relationships, work at each individual's pace, and ensure that every session is both enjoyable and meaningful. My approach is patient, encouraging, and centred around helping each person achieve their own goals while developing confidence and self-belief.
I also enjoy supporting adults who are looking to reconnect with themselves, build confidence, or simply experience the calming and grounding influence of horses. Spending time with the herd can provide a valuable opportunity to slow down, reflect, and develop a deeper understanding of both ourselves and the world around us.
At Feeling Herd, I am committed to creating a positive experience for everyone who visits. Through kindness, authenticity, and a genuine love of horses, I help people of all ages feel more confident, connected, and empowered both in and out of the yard.

Chantal Greenfield
Equine Assisted Coach
Accredited Coach Practitioner
Hi, I'm Chantal, co-founder of Feeling Herd Equine Assisted Coaching.
I've always had a deep love for horses and a passion for helping people navigate life's challenges.
Over the years, I've worked extensively with children, young people, and families in a variety of support, safeguarding, and therapeutic settings. This experience, combined with my training as an Equine Assisted Therapeutic Coach, allows me to offer a unique approach that helps people build confidence, understand their emotions, and develop the tools they need to thrive.
At Feeling Herd, horses are much more than animals, they are partners in the coaching process. Horses are incredibly sensitive and respond honestly to how we are feeling, often helping us understand ourselves in ways that words alone cannot. They don't judge, they don't criticise, and they don't expect us to be anything other than ourselves. This creates a safe and supportive environment where growth can happen naturally.
I am particularly passionate about supporting children and young people, including those who are neurodivergent, struggling with anxiety, low confidence, emotional regulation, school challenges, or difficult life experiences. Many of the young people I work with find it easier to connect, communicate, and explore their feelings alongside the horses than they do in traditional settings.
My approach is gentle, child-led, and trauma-informed. I believe every child deserves to feel heard, understood, and accepted for who they are. Sessions are tailored to the individual, allowing them to work at their own pace while building confidence, resilience, self-awareness, and emotional wellbeing.
For parents, I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting. My aim is to create a welcoming space where both you and your child feel comfortable from the very beginning. I am always happy to arrange a visit to the yard before sessions start, giving children the opportunity to meet the herd, explore the environment, and begin building trust in a way that feels safe and manageable.
Whether you're seeking support for your child, looking to strengthen family wellbeing, or exploring personal growth for yourself, I am here to walk alongside you. Together with the herd, we create opportunities for connection, healing, confidence, and positive change.

Why Join Our Sessions?
Our horses can help with...

Anxiety
Is your child struggling with social relationships? Are they finding it hard to cope in school? Our equine therapeutic sessions have been shown to reduce anxiety and promote a sense of calm and relaxation as well as build coping skills and tools for using in every day life.
Confidence Building
Through interactions with horses, individuals can develop confidence, assertiveness, build their self esteem as well as work on effective communication skills.
Emotional Healing
Horses have a remarkable ability to help individuals process emotional trauma and stress. They provide a unique source of emotional support and connection. As highly sensitive animals, they respond honestly and without judgement, helping us feel accepted, understood, and safe. Building a relationship with a horse can encourage trust, confidence, empathy, and self-awareness, while creating opportunities to explore emotions in a gentle and supportive way.

Physical Strength
Engaging with horses can develop physical strength, balance and motor skills. Activities such as grooming, leading and carrying equipment can encourage balance, core strength, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and both fine and gross motor skill development.
Mindfulness
Our equine therapeutic sessions encourage mindfulness and being present in the moment, promoting positive emotional well-being and building resilience in children
Connection with Nature
Spending time with horses allows individuals to connect with nature and experience its therapeutic benefits. Being surrounded by nature can help children feel calmer, more connected, and more present, while encouraging curiosity, confidence, resilience, and a sense of freedom that is often difficult to achieve in more structured indoor settings.
